Some mornings are easier than others.
This one, where we decided to announce our first fundraising of 1.2 million euros, is definitely one of them.
The three of us (Thomas, Vianney and Victor) are both very proud of how far we've come, and incredibly excited about what lies ahead in 2022. So excited, in fact, that we've decided to share a behind-the-scenes look at the project we started in school.
Some of you know the story, others are just discovering it: we hope you'll enjoy discovering how far we've come, and what's next!
Companies did not have a tool that was both easy to set up and suitable for organizing hybrid working on a long-term basis.
We began working on the subject of hybrid work last September, at a time when Covid had already dramatically changed the way companies worked. At the time, successive confinements prevented us from projecting a bold vision of what the future of post-pandemic work would be. And yet, in the course of our exchanges with hundreds of professionals, we sensed that something new was emerging: "hybrid" working, i.e. alternating between remote work and presence in the office, which is set to last (as proof, yet another study published on the subject three days ago, this time by enterprise communications giant Slack).
Above all, we saw a gap in the market: at the time, companies didn't have any tools that were both easy to implement and use, and suitable for organizing hybrid working on a permanent basis as part of day-to-day business. Neither HRIS, nor shared calendars, nor Excel spreadsheets were able to perform this task effectively.
And so Deskare was born ✨
Last June, Deskare was still only a Beta version, of uncertain reliability, but it met a need that had been tried and tested with hundreds of HR Directors, Heads of People, Office Managers, Workplace Managers, employees, CFOs and CEOs.
Thanks to the confidence of our first customers (including startups Pumpkin and Lumapps), we have been able to improve the platform over the weeks to make it what it is today.
Today, Deskare is :
We're rising today, because we realize that it's now that all companies need to be supported in their transition to hybrid working. It's now that these new habits and this new organization of work are becoming commonplace. And now is the time to respond.
Now it's time to grow and build a team
All this development was carried out by three co-founders, first in a student living room and then in the HEC Incubator. While we can't help but look back fondly on those early days, these new resources now give us a very different perspective: it's time to grow and build a team.
We are recruiting a dozen talents in 2022 to meet a triple objective:
A word about the investors who have placed their trust in us: we have chosen a panel of experienced entrepreneurs, young and old, who will each bring us their very concrete know-how on operational, strategic and technical aspects... But above all, we have joined forces with people who believe in us and in the team. Because let's not forget: we learn from day to day, from all the people we come into contact with on a daily basis, and who give us their time, their trust and their interest.
Wishing you many easy mornings, whatever they may be,
Thomas, Vianney and Victor
