Many companies have taken advantage of the end of the Covid-19 pandemic to transform their working methods and, at the same time, their workspaces. Médiamétrie, a leader in audiovisual and digital media audience measurement for over 30 years, chose Deskare to meet the flexibility needs of its 650 employees spread over four sites.
One year after deploying the solution, we caught up with four Médiamétrie employees in their new offices to hear about their experiences with Deskare :
Before 2020, Médiamétrie operated according to a traditional work organization, in the words of Emeric Arnoult. This organization included a majority of partitioned, individual offices for employees.
But the health crisis and the advent of the remote work have turned office habits on their head, forcing a change in strategy regarding the use of office space.
Faced with this new reality, the company adopted a "semi flex office" system in the summer of 2023, moving from a traditional organization to a more flexible one. This "semi-flex office" is characterized not only by flexibility of placement within spaces, but also by precise zoning, designed to meet the operational needs of each department.
In order to organize this system over the long term, the project team (comprising representatives from Purchasing, General Resources, Human Resources, the Information Systems Department and Internal Communications) initiated the search for a flex office solution that would also serve to organize hybrid working as a whole.
After a detailed benchmark, Deskare came out on top thanks to its intuitive solution, dynamic team and integration with Microsoft Teams and the entire M365 environment, used by all employees.
The introduction of Deskare was motivated by the need to modernize workspace organization and facilitate collaboration. Émeric Arnoult, Director of the Resources Department, details this transition:
"Why did we need Deskare? Quite simply because we were in a fairly old, traditional organization, with partitioned, individual offices, and we wanted to transform all that to create more of a collective. To make this transition, we needed a framework for this new way of working, and Deskare made that possible."
To sum up:
Themain objective of the redevelopment project was to move from a partitioned organization to a more flexible model, encouraging teamwork and collaboration. Flex office was the perfect solution, allowing employees to reserve a workstation in any of the office spaces. Deskare was chosen to reassure employees and give teams greater visibility of on-site collaboration possibilities.
For many employees, links with their colleagues are essential, constituting the main reason for coming to work. In fact, 70% of employees say that the interest in coming to the office lies in social relations(Baromètre Actinéo 2023). This trend is also confirmed by Médiamétrie.
One of Deskare's favorite features is the ability to find out where colleagues are at any time of the day or week. This feature is particularly appreciated by Nelly Dubner, Director of Internal Communications:
"For me, Deskare's most important feature is being able to see when my colleagues are on site. I love coming on site and being surrounded with the colleagues I'm used to working with, and Deskare allows me to find this information at a glance."
"To make this transition to flex office, this new way of working had to be structured, and Deskare made that possible."
To effectively measure the occupancy of workspaces and identify areas of tension or, on the contrary, under-utilization, data is essential. Stéphane Ducrot, Head of General Services, was won over by the numerous dashboards available (meeting rooms, workstations, villages, parking lots, etc.) and the ability to export all data:
"On the administrator side, I really like the features that allow you to export data and check, coupled with the access management software, to see gauge tracking, to see which areas are tense, which areas are rather flexible and could possibly accommodate other employees."
This was also the case for Émeric Arnoult:
“Deskare allows us to see which zones are more or less occupied, and to be able to adjust [the zoning rules] operationally. And that, thatcreates real added value for the Employees.”
This data is also regularly used by the team during the quarterly reviews organised by the Deskare Client Success team. These reviews provide a fresh and additional perspective on data that the Médiamétrie team uses on a daily basis.

More than a year after this reorganisation, the project team is satisfied. And for good reason: internal surveys regularly measure the level of employee satisfaction with various aspects of the workspaces: layouts, furniture, digital solutions, etc.
On the digital front (of which Deskare is a part), Emeric Arnoult notes a satisfaction rating of 8/10 from Employees. “A very good score for us”, he emphasises.
There are always doubts when deploying this kind of solution. We're betting on getting hundreds of Employees to adopt a new digital solution. […] Experience shows that we weren't wrong: Employees are satisfied today! Stéphane Ducrot
This satisfaction is particularly evident in the declaration rate, a figure closely monitored by the project team: this is the percentage of Médiamétrie Employees who have actually filled in their schedule during the current week. Since the beginning, it has been between 92 and 99%: an excellent reflection of the adoption of Deskare by Employees in their work and collaboration habits.
The final word, from Emeric Arnoult? “I can only recommend using Deskare!”
The Deskare team would like to thank Emeric and his team for their consistently relevant suggestions, their feedback and their enthusiasm in using Deskare, as well as for their welcome at 70 rue Rivay.
